building a wind generator
Are there plans available for easy to build wind generator?
I live on the Oregon Coast and have PLENTY of wind. I want to utilize this wind to suplement electricity to my home. Are there affordable kits available or easy to build and understand plans?
Get your hands on a good sized fan blade (about 3′ dia) and an alternator from the car junkyard. Assemble the blade & alternator together with a tail so it will point into the wind.Mount the assembly on a bearing. You will then be generating 12vdc
