Do you want the nuclear plants in your backyard or wind and solar?
McCain say he will build many many nuclear plants and that will solve our energy problems, I don’t want them or the waste in my area, I would rather see wind energy and solar used, solar at the per home basis is best. I have seen many examples of it and it works great, beside we could take all these ugly power lines down if everyone had their own solar at home.
Obviously Solar and wind power are much safer and cleaner. However, up until recently they were believed to be very limited and less efficient in producing reliable power supply. In my opinion it was the technologies that have been used in the past to generate that kind of energy which was limited and non efficient.
as a matter of fact solar and wind power which had once believed to be very expensive is becoming more and more affordable. Journals and TV reports have shown many people who have installed such power generating systems in their homes and who have been saving a lot on their power bill. I have seen a man on CBS5 who claimed that his power bill has been zero for the last three years.
To answer your question, I think the sun and the wind are the best sources for energy and yet, obviously the safest. solar and wind power has no waste and thus are very safe for both the environment and the people.
Amazingly, the advance in technology has made them much more affordable and reliable.
