how to clean the negative energy in a home?
I just moved into a new appartment and I would like to clean negative energies left by the previous tenant. I was told that smudge sticks can be used to clean energy. Can anyone please point me to a link that explains how to clean energy, which smudge sticks to use, and how to use them. Thank you.
I was unable to find what I thought a really *good* link was to give you. That may be because I am at work, and don’t have free access. I will try to explain the most simply way to do this. Finding a smudge stick should be easy. Any new age, metaphysical store in your area will have it. Smudge sticks most often contain sage, but some have other things like cedar, sweet grass in them. Any of these are fine. I prefer sage only, or sage and sweet grass myself.
When you get home start in the very back corner of your apartment (is its 2 story start upstairs). Light the smudge stick, let it burn for a moment then blow it out, it will continue to smoke. Start in the back corner of the room, work around allowing the smoke to touch get everywhere. (Inside closets, around windows and doors..everywhere) As you are doing this, some people like to say a prayer or chant. I don’t really think its necessary. I simply envision the home surrounded in a white light, with the negative energy being burned away.
Work in a circle around your home, smudging each room. I always like to end at my front door. Open the door, and smudge the door, and frame outside. Your all done!
Some people like to use salt to purify as well. They sprinkle a small amount of salt at each cardinal direction point of the home. Its just another idea for you to consider. I wish you the best. Bright Blessings.
